This website is owned and created by Nancy Kerson, a private citizen. Information about BLM adoptions is offered as a service, to help mustangs find homes and to promote public appreciation of wild horses and burros.

Please direct adoption questions to the BLM, not to me.

And we sure as heck are not a Mustang car dealership!

1. BACKING UP

There are 4 ways to back up a horse. Each comes in handy in certain circumstances, so it's good to know them all:

1. From the Side at the Withers

2. From the Chest Muscle

3. From the Nose
(pictures to come)

4. From the Front

For detailed instruction, get Jerry Tindell's "Ground Work" video, or Lauman Training's "Ground Work For Success", or seek professional help locally.
