This website is owned and created by Nancy Kerson, a private citizen. Information about BLM adoptions is offered as a service, to help mustangs find homes.
Please direct adoption questions to the BLM, not to me. Spring 2003: Sparky is now 2 1/2, and Ruby is 3 years old. They've come a long way, and each had a "first ride" (consisting of sitting on them for about 30 seconds) last November, and are now ready for learning how to actually ride. | | | Sparky has a problem - ME! I don't know how to ride very well, but, like everything else we've done so far, I guess we'll just have to learn together. In June, Sparky & Ruby went to Sacramento Horse Expo, as part of the BLM's Breed Showcase | | | | | And home again...

Shyla Pheasant rode Sparky in the English Youth classes, and got a 2nd place (out of a HUGE class!) | | | This was Expo's first year for cow classes. Saanen Kerson, Jennifer Stovall, and Martha Conlin put together an impromptu team for the Sorting. Martha rode Sparky. | | | SPARKY in 2006 | Sparky is just the best horse! I go trail riding with him and enjoy just riding around the ranch. We also go to various low-key activities and competitions like the Napa Valley Horsemen's Timed Events Series and the CADAMA Playday. | | | | | | | | | Sparky 2001 - Adoption | Gentling Sparky | Sparky Settles In | Sparky is Sick | Sparky Spring 2001 | Sparky - Summer 2001 | Sparky In School | Sparky in School, pt 2 | Sparky's First Rides | Saddle Training 2 | Sparky 2006 | Sparky 2007 |
