Ruby has matured into a lovely, calm, cuddly and sweet (with people) 7-year-old mare.

Learning to drive

We are taking LOTS of time to get Ruby comfortable with the equipment and the road, before hooking her up to something that could really make a wreck if she couldn't handle it.

At first Ruby wasn't sure she liked those shafts dragging behind her and pulling up beside her. We won't hook her up to equipment until she is able to handle this level of stuff with ease.


Here she is relaxing and getting used to it
When I said Ruby is sweet, I meant with people! She rules the barnyard as a not-so-benevolent despot!
In April we took Ruby & Sparky to a Phil Morarre Hoof Trimming clinic.
